much of it is available to the man on the street?

Only 8% of the total publications on CVD are
from developing countries
-
More than 60% of the Global burden of
coronary heart disease occurs in developing countries.

82% of the future increase in coronary heart
disease mortality will occur in developing countries.
-
Two-thirds of the patients die before
reaching the hospital, this highlights the need for early
recognition and prevention.
The place of awareness in fighting CVD
-
Awareness is the most effective method of
intervention. According to WHO two-thirds of patients die
before reaching the hospital. So the need for early
recognition and prevention is necessary.

The foundation will use all proper and
culturally acceptable media to draw attention to CVD,
working closely will Youth Development Groups. (Drama,
films, school clubs, healh planning clubs, inter-house
sports, religious institutions, neighborhood programs)
